Incoming pharmacy students at Auburn University spent Friday in court.

They heard the mock case of John and Mary Thompson vs. Kris Michael. The Thompsons were suing Michael for $3.75 million after their daughter Jessica died as a result of drug interactions.

The Thomspons alleged Michael, a pharmacist, did not counsel their daughter about the possible interactions between two drugs she was taking.
Friday’s mock trial was the culmination of the school’s Foundations of Pharmacy orientation course.
