Memorial Day Weekend is approaching and we are all excited to have a day off! (Apologies if you don't have the day off, but this still pertains to you!) The last thing you want to think about right now is going back to work... but it's better to have a plan in place to make the transition from your days off easier. Here are some ways to get back to work and feel more motivated and ready to take on the week!

1. Return A Day Early

Even though you might want to spend an extra day at the beach or on vacation, it might be a better idea to head back a day early! That way you can catch up on laundry, sleep off the jet lag, get some of that work done before you return the next day and mentally prepare for getting back into the groove of work.

2. Don't Try To Tackle It All At Once

There's probably going to be a lot of work waiting for you to return to the office, but fear not! Start by prioritizing your list of work by what needs to be done that day and move the rest to a list to complete the next day. If you overload yourself when you get back from a vacation, all of the de-stressing you did will be for nothing because you'll be back to being stressed and overwhelmed.

3. Clean Up Your Inbox

Emails after a vacation can be the hardest pill to swallow. Before you open and try to address every single email, organize your email inbox so you have something nice and clean to look through. Then you can take on the inbox!

4. Stay Hydrated

The first day back is always the hardest, so stay hydrated! Tea, water and even coffee will help you stay focused and awake at work. Also pack some healthy, brain stimulating snacks to help you get through the day!

When you get back to work, take a deep breath, reminisce on how relaxed you felt on your vacation and push on through the week until you get another day off!
