Kmart Pharmacy Encourages Prescription Consolidation and Introduces 'Transfer for a Cause'

Kmart Pharmacy is making it even more rewarding for its customers to consolidate and maintain all of their prescriptions in one place through the launch of its new prescription transfer incentive program, "Transfer for a Cause." In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Kmart Pharmacy will make a special charitable donation to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation® on behalf of each customer that participates in the program between now and the end of October.

The Kmart "Transfer for a Cause" program will take place through Oct. 31, and with each qualifying prescription transferred:

Pharmacy groups plead for patient choice in Tricare legislation

Tricare beneficiaries  Speaking with one voice, the nation’s largest chain and independent pharmacy groups gave a thumbs-up Monday to recent efforts by Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., to preserve the right of military members and their dependents to obtain their prescriptions through a retail pharmacy without penalty.

The message of support came from the National Association of Chain Drug Stores and the National Community Pharmacists Association. The two organizations co-authored a letter thanking Lautenberg for his continued leadership in congressional efforts to protect Tricare beneficiaries’ access to retail pharmacies.
